8mm and Super 8mm Movie Transfer

8mm and Super 8 were widely used film formats used from the 1930s through to the 1980s. Often we inherit or find boxes full of these old reels that are our heritage and need to be digitized and shared. It's too easy to just pack them away again and delay digitizing and preserving them, this unfortunately will lead to film deterioration.

Before you look for and dig out your old film projectors you need to be aware that these reel films would have deteriorated. Film shrinks, becomes brittle, colors fade and using an old projector could further damage or destroy your precious films. It's best to try to avoid handling the films and have them digitized sooner than later as they also become more vulnerable to moisture and temperature damage as they age.

The process is simple:

We can pick-up (if local) or mail-in films.

Your films are scanned one frame at a time.

Your reels are retuned to you with a digital MP4 file of your movie,

Enjoy and share with friends and family.

We only capture 8mm and Super 8 without sound. Background music can be added.
